Description & Special Instructions

Join us along with Migrant Educators around the state who are fluently supporting students and parents with their use of Google Classroom. Tune in, and get ready to work hands-on to find out:

  • What is Google Classroom?

  • How can Parents and Migrant Educators understand what is happening in a student’s Google Classroom?

  • How can we as Educators and Parents help ensure that homework is being turned in via Google Classroom?

Included in the connection email, there will be 9-minute video to watch/review prior to attending. We look forward to seeing you there!

The content in this presentation is geared towards serving the migrant populations in New York State as defined under Title I, Part C and the approved State Service Delivery Plan, and may NOT be appropriate to all situations.

Objectives/Learning Targets

  • To help you support students who are using Google Classroom for learning;

  • To frame how parents can intentionally support their students and know what is happening in their student’s Google Classroom; and

  • To show the student’s view of Google Classroom in a live demonstration, in order to assist students in making sure that assignments are turned in.
