Description

During the first part of the session, participants will review the easyCBM Passage Reading Fluency (PRF) assessment tool, discuss the process of administering the assessment both in person and virtually, and learn about best practices for consistent administration and data collection.

We will then transition to learn more about the Quick Phonics Screener (QPS), a tool to identify specific needs in phonics used with students who struggle with accurate and/or automatic word recognition skills.

Finally, we will explore the NYS-MEP ELA Resource Library to identify instructional tools to support students to be able to read words with ease so they can shift their attention from reading words to comprehending the meaning of text.
