A Summer of Hands-On Learning

This summer, the Northeast Migrant Education Program was able to offer a variety of exciting adolescent summer modules to all our middle and high school students. These programs are designed to provide students with glimpses into some of the college and career paths that will be open to them in the future.

Supporting Entering Level ELLs in Middle School

(2019) School can be overwhelming for an ENL student at the entering stage of learning English. In this workshop, you will leave with strategies you can try on the next day as you support students to meet the academic demands of middle school while at the same time creating a safe, comfortable learning environment. Come ready to learn and share strategies while you engage with your colleagues.

Migrant Education Tutorial and Support Services Salutes the Parents in Fallsburg

After a full month of activities and learning, the Mid-Hudson Migrant Tutorial and Support Services (Migrant Ed) celebrated with Noche de Padres—Night of the Parents, on July 26, 2019 in the auditorium and cafeteria at Fallsburg Jr/Sr High School. Migrant Ed conducts programs throughout the school year in several school districts in Sullivan County, including Fallsburg, Liberty and Monticello. They held a special summer program in the FHS that had the theme of Water.
