DESCRIPTION

Welcome to the 2025-26 Migrant Education Program (MEP) Kickoff Celebration! We will gather as one team to celebrate our achievements, embrace the challenges ahead, and launch into a brand-new year of making a difference. This is our moment to honor YOU - your dedication, your hard work, and the remarkable impact you make every single day in the lives of our migratory children and their families.
 
Joining us in the celebrations are Assistant Commissioner Theresa Billington; Director Erica Meaker; and Supervisor Lori Genito from the State Education Department (SED), along with our friends and partners from the Statewide Support Team (SST), ID&R-TASC, and the eight regional METS program centers. Together, we'll celebrate the heart of our mission and reaffirm the "why" behind everything we do- your life-changing impact on students and families.
 
Every child we serve has a unique story, and you are the key to unlocking their potential. You are more than a migrant educator, recruiter, data specialist, or administrative support staff - you are a safe space, a spark of hope, and a catalyst for opportunity. Let's step into this new year with resolve, energy, and the unwavering belief that we exist to serve, empower, and champion our students and families.
