Chapter 1 - Mindfulness in Minutes

Join Nina Smiley, Ph.D., for a one-hour video designed to help you understand how to use mindfulness in a way that is practical, powerful, and accessible. We begin with Mindfulness in Minutes as a simple way to understand mindfulness and it’s progression of 3-minute “chunks” of mindfulness meditation throughout the session. These are the building blocks for your practice.

We will explore slight variations of simple and effective mindfulness meditation techniques that can be used by real migrant educators in real lives (when they really need it) – one moment at a time.

Participation is simple:

  • Wear comfortable clothes. There’s no movement in this class, but comfort helps reduce distractions.
  • Find a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted.
  • Allow an hour for this video.
  • Don’t try to take notes. This is all about the experience.
