Reference Tables for Earth and Space Sciences, 2026 Revised Edition

  •  Available via the NYS Education Department's website, educators and students should use the Reference Tables throughout the year, so students become familiar with the content. That way, students can quickly find the section(s) needed during the Regents Examination.
  • The 2026 Revised Edition is available in nine languages, including English, Haitian Creole, and Spanish.

Bilingual Glossaries and Cognates- an essential and expected test accommodation for ELLs/MLLs in NYS

The Bilingual Glossaries were created for educators, students, parents and families to support the instruction for students learning English. Available in multiple languages, New York’s Bilingual Glossaries translate the course vocabulary.

  • Students can use these glossaries throughout the year.
  • The Bilingual Glossaries do not have definitions, so students can use the Bilingual Glossaries during their Regents Examinations.
  •  Use this shortcut to the Science Bilingual Glossaries, then scroll down to access the languages you need for both the
    • “High School Earth Science Glossary” and the
    • “High School Earth & Space Science Supplemental Glossary.”
