School Districts have the 2024-25 and 2025-26 program years to transition from the "Living Environment" course to the "Life Science: Biology" course that uses New York State’s newer Next Generation Standards.
- Check with individual school districts to ask which course they are using.

Bilingual Glossaries and Cognates- an essential and expected test accommodation for ELLs/MLLs in NYS
- Available from the NYU Steinhardt website, glossaries are sorted by subject matter and created for educators, students, parents, and families in supporting instruction for English language learners.
- Students can practice with them throughout the year. They translate word-to-word, without definitions, and can be used while students take the Regents Examinations
- Access bilingual glossaries for High School Science.
Past Regents Examinations for Living Science: Biology
- Available via the NYS Education Department’s website, students can use past exams to study and prepare for this year’s exam.
- Currently available in English and eight other languages, including Spanish.
