Presented by Katia Chapman, Admissions and Financial Aid Counselor at Finger Lakes Community College and long-time advocate of migrant students, the PowerPoint presentation provided outlines an education plan to prepare students towards college readiness and college application; the financial aid process; in-state resident tuition requirements; tips for undocumented students; and question prompts on key topics to discuss with parents. In addition, there is a how-to guide to complete the FAFSA application; a sample resume; as well as a “brag sheet template” that guides students in crafting a college essay or personal statement for a scholarship application.
